3G Tethering

A source over at Macblogz has stated that the much anticipated 3G tethering plan from AT&T for the iPhone will run about 30 dollars per month. Allowing notebook and computer users to connect to the internet over an existing 3G network will put a huge amount of strain over the already strained 3G network. The plan does come with a 5GB cap (which makes it the same as the existing plan for the Blackberry). AT&T has been extremely cautious in regards to their 3G network (case in point; the purchase of Wayport and the addition of countless Wi-Fi hotspots for users) so don’t expect any finality from this post. Lastly, it is also rumored that users can pay $0.00048/KB for extra bandwidth.
