One of the main criticisms of the Apple iPhone 3G is the short battery life, this is especially true if you use your iPhone’s apps or 3G network quite often like most of us do. We’ve all been there before, we were out and about and just didn’t have time to fully charge our iPhone. Apple has released software updates that have helped the problem some but it’s still there. Sure you can carry your iPhone 3G charger with you everywhere you go but sometimes you may not be anywhere near a power outlet. So what other option do you have? Another popular way of charging your iPhone is a battery pack. There are a few different styles of battery packs on the market for both the iPhone and the iPhone 3G. One type of iPhone battery pack is just an external battery device with a simple USB to dock cable that charges your iPhone. These come in great when you forget your charger and you need some quick juice while at work or school.

Another option is an iPhone battery pack and case type of charger. There are a few on the market, most notably from Mophie. Most of these type of iPhone battery packs go for $80 to $100 however, at about half the price of a brand new 8GB iPhone 3G that’s a pricey charger. Inspiretech is set to release a new iPhone 3G battery pack towards the end of the year that is said to be comparable to all the other iPhone battery packs on the market, but will retail at only $29.99. Inspiretech’s new iPhone 3G battery pack is said to charge your iPhone 3G up to two hours and it features an LED charging indicator that turns from red to green when charging is completed. Sporting a sleek black matte finish the Inspiretech iPhone battery pack gives easy access to your iPhone 3G’s ports while keeping the device protected at the same time. The iPhone 3G Battery Pack from Inspiretech should be ready to ship next month.

Where ever you need to give your iPhone 3G a quick charge the iPhone 3G Battery Pack from Inspiretech will keep your iPhone juiced, and at a price that won’t break the bank!

iPhone 3G overtakes the RAZR in the US

Monday, November 10th, 2008

iphone overtakes razr

A recent report from NPD said that Motorola’s popular RAZR cellphone has finally been overtaken by the Apple iPhone 3G. This is the first time that a market leader such as Motorola has been over shadowed by a more complex smart phone. Apple has reportedly sold more than 10 million iPhone 3Gs around the world in the few months that the phone has been on the market. RIM’s BlackBerry Curve took the third top spot with the LG Rumor and LG enV2 taking fourth and fifth. This is turning out to be a very good year for Apple.

Apple has been raking in the money lately. They’ve done very well with their new MacBooks, iPods and iPhones lately. You would think that only the rich can afford these things. But studies have shown that even lower income consumers are buying Apple iPhones. Almost half of those buying iPhones make less than $25K to $50K.

Apple Wants More Feedback

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

iPhone app

Firmware 2.2 is due for release in November and once again promises to fix most of the issues concerning the current version. While I admit the iPhone 3G still has a lot of bugs to be fixed, I can’t help but feel that on some level, Apple is doing this on purpose. There are rumors going around that the latest iPhone firmware 2.2 screens have revealed an effort by Apple to get more customer feedback for the app store. By crunching out firmware updates one after another, Apple can keep control of the phone. Any unlock can theoretically be nullified with the next patch…

It has also been rumored that Google streetview will be available, along with transit schedules and walking directions

iPhone firmware 2.2 might have Google Street View included

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

google street view for the iphone

It is said that Google Street view will be included in the new iPhone firmware 2.2 beta. Google Street View is a revolutionary program from Google that lets you see many locations from a street view, like the name says. It was thought that Google Street View would be an Android only feature, now it looks as if iPhone users will be able to enjoy this useful service as well.
