starbucks

Starbucks is said to close 600 of their stores nationwide. They’re claiming they want to go back to its coffee shop roots that they’ve lost after their large rate of growth in recent years.

As we announced on July 1, 2008, Starbucks will close approximately 600 company-operated stores in the U.S. beginning this month and continuing through the first half of FY09.  Partners in the stores listed below have been personally notified that their store has been slated to close during this timeframe.

In the spirit of transparency with our partners, customers and communities, we have provided the full list of stores below for general information purposes. Store partners will receive advance notice and more details from their leadership team once a specific closure date has been confirmed. After specific closure dates have been communicated to all affected partners, we will continue to update the confirmed store list athttp://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/pressdesc.asp?id=880

Inspiretech iPod AUX input cable review

I love listening to my iPod in the car, it’s where I find myself using it the most. On my commute to work, on road trips or if I’m just cruising my iPod is always with me. I bought an auxiliary iPod adapter a while back to connect to my iPod nano to the OEM radio in my MINI Cooper S and ever since I’ve always had my iPod on me. Unfortunately I was using a regular 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable from Radio Shack to connect my iPod to the AUX input. It worked and got the job done but I was never fully satisfied with the sound quality.

The 3.5mm stereo cable connects to the AUX input via the iPods headphone jack, which is great if you’re listening to your iPod with a set of headphones, but if you’re using it to plug into your cars stereo the results are usually less than satisfactory.

Recently I got my hands on a iPod dock to 3.5mm AUX cable from Inspiretech. I’ve been looking for a high quality dock to AUX cable that won’t break the bank for some time now and this one definitely fits the bill. As soon as I plugged it in and turned on the iPod and my radio the sound difference was amazing. The quality was greatly improved and I could actually hear bass coming through my speakers now. This is most likely attributed to the music being transmitted via the iPod dock and not the headphone jack anymore. Before with the 3.5mm stereo cable I would also get an annoying hissing sound through my cars speakers, that is now gone and the music can be heard crystal clear. I’m very impressed with the improvement from the Inspiretech AUX cable, especially for the price which is cheaper than most others out on the market.

This cable works with all iPods and connects to any device with a 3.5mm input, not just car stereos. At only $7.99 this is one great deal that is guaranteed to enhance your listening experience while cruising in traffic. A retractable iPod dock to 3.5mm AUX cable is also available to help save space and keep your cables organized.
